French musical ‘Les Misérables’ returns to Paris
The most famous French musical in the world is Les Miserables with at least a hundred and thirty million people having seen a singing Jean Valjean face off against Javert in some 22 languages. One of the longest-running musicals in the world, Les Mis has been showing nearly continuously in London’s West End for forty years. But a brand new production in Paris is hoping to bring the musical version of the book by Victor Hugo to a wider French audience. Les Misérables at the Chatelet theatre in Paris is playing to a nearly sold-out crowd at the moment. Two of the stars of the show, Juliette Artigala and Jacques Preiss, who play Cosette and Marius join us on Entre Nous.
