Syrian HTS rebels free numerous prisoners as they take over the capital and oust Assad

Syrian rebels swept into Damascus declaring they had toppled “tyrant” President Bashar al-Assad, whose current whereabouts are unknown after he reportedly fled the country. As HTS rebels are taking over the country, they are freeing numerous prisoners, as FRANCE 24’s Wassim Nasr explains.
