‘Our daughters are coming back’: Israelis express joy and sadness as hostages return

Israelis are expressing mixed feelings of “joy” and “deep sadness” as the first hostages released by Hamas return home, FRANCE 24’s Noga Tarnopolsky said, reporting from Tel Aviv’s Hostages Square. An Israeli whose nephew was killed in the October 7 attacks hailed the return of the three female hostages, saying: “our daughters are coming back”, adding “it’s a historic and exciting moment”.
