French PM Bayrou set to survive no-confidence vote after forcing through budget

French Prime Minister François Bayrou’s minority government looked set to survive a no-confidence vote in the National Assembly on Wednesday, after the head of the far-right National Rally said he would not support the motion backed by opposition parties on the left.
