Argentina: In the footsteps of the “pope of the poor”
Pope Francis was often called the “pope of the poor.” Inspired by the Jesuit vision of poverty and the movement of priests working in shantytowns, he regularly visited some of the most deprived areas of the capital and beyond before his election — to evangelize, support social work, and simply to listen.

A story by Mathilde Guillaume, Elias Gismondi and Natalio Cosoy.
