France to expel Algerian diplomats in tit-for-tat move, says relations ‘totally blocked’

France will expel Algerian diplomats in response to Algeria’s plans to send French officials home, France’s Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said Wednesday, as ties between the two countries have become “totally blocked”.
