Namibia holds commemorations for victims of the country’s genocide

Between 1904 and 1908 tens of thousands of indigenous people were massacred by colonial troops after the rebelled against German rule. According to the government, Genocide Remembrance Day will be celebrated with a candlelight vigil and minute of silence.
