Cannes film festival promises ‘seriousness’ in confronting industry abuse

The Cannes Film Festival pledged “seriousness” in tackling sexual harassment and abuse in the entertainment industry as organisers on Thursday prepared to unveil the movies that will vie for its coveted Palme d’Or prize next month.
