Civil society scpetical of the Lobito project impact on local economy

US President Joe Biden has arrived in Lobito to promote a massive railway project that links Angola’s Atlantic Ocean to mining regions in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia. Known as the Lobito Corridor, the project is viewed as an effort to counter overwhelming Chinese influence over critical minerals.
