COP16 in Cali: UN biodiversity summit opens with call for ‘significant’ funding

On the eve of the official start of the conference, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres urged “significant investment” in the Global Biodiversity Framework Fund created last year, as well as “commitments to mobilise other sources of public and private finance.”
