Decolonising Senegal’s streets: Dakar’s roads are being renamed for local heroes

Senegal’s moving ahead with plans to put more of its own identity and culture into key streets and has begun changing the name of landmarks named after french colonial figures. It is part of president Basirrou Diamaye Faye push to better celebrate the country’s rich, indiginous cultural heritage. Caitlin Kelly and Elimane Ndao report.
