DR Congo targets illegal constructions after deadly Kinshasa floods

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, specifically in Kinshasa, severe flooding in early April claimed dozens of lives. In response, Congolese authorities have initiated a demolition campaign targeting what they call “illegal constructions,” much to the dismay of the already devastated residents.
