El Salvador’s Bukele says won’t help return wrongfully deported Salvadoran

During a visit to the White House on Tuesday, Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele said he would not “smuggle” a “terrorist” into the US, when asked whether he would help facilitate the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia. The US Supreme Court ordered the Trump administration to “facilitate” Abrego Garcia’s return after he was wrongfully deported and interned in El Salvador’s notorious CECOT prison without charge last month due to what the Trump administration labeled an “administrative” mistake.
