Far right’s poster boy Bardella to run for French president if Le Pen is barred

Jordan Bardella, 29, has said he plans to be the French far-right National Rally’s presidential candidate in 2027 if his mentor Marine Le Pen is barred from running. Le Pen, who has run for president three times, is appealing an embezzlement conviction that bars her from seeking public office for five years.
