French surgeon Joël Le Scouarnec faces court in historic child sexual abuse trial

The biggest child sex abuse trial ever tried in France opens in Vannes on Monday in which 74-year-old former surgeon Joël Le Scouarnec faces charges of allegedly raping or sexually abusing 299 patients, most of them children in his care, across a dozen hospitals and spanning over three decades.
