Georgia launches probe into ‘falsification’ of election result

Prosecutors in Georgia said on Wednesday they are investigating whether the results of Saturday’s parliamentary elections were falsified after election monitors said they had evidence of complex, large-scale fraud. Thousands marched in Tbilisi on Monday to protest against the ruling Georgian Dream party’s claim to have won the election.
