Harvard student leaders take bold stance in defence of fellow internationals, student body at large

Harvard students have been protesting to oppose Trump’s widening offensive against the 400-year-old Ivy League university that has drawn his ire for refusing to give up control of curriculum, admissions and research. For a deeper understanding of the US government’s unprecedented offensive against universities and international students, France 24’s Delano D’Souza is pleased to welcome co-President of Harvard’s Undergraduate Association Abdullah Shahid Sial. He is originally from Lahore, Pakistan and is making his voice heard all over international media, including penning a letter to the editor in the Washington Post with fellow student leaders Leo Gerdén from Stockholm and Karl Molden from Vienna. They acknowledged that “writing this letter carries a great deal of personal risk.”
