In 100 days, Trump takes a hard line on immigration and Venezuelan deportations
The Trump administration has implemented drastic changes to US immigration policy, particularly targeting Venezuelan nationals. Since taking office, he has revoked 1,600 residency permits from Venezuelan-born residents, alleging ties to the “Tren de Aragua” gang. Some of those deported were sent to Guantanamo Bay, while others were transferred to high-security prisons in El Salvador. Danielher Herrera, one of those deported, spoke to France 24 after being permanently sent back to Venezuela.
