International Olympic Committee votes for its next leader in wide-open race

The next president of the IOC, one of the most powerful people in sport, will be elected on Thursday. Voting by about 100 eligible committee members for seven candidates is set to begin at about 4pm local time (1400 GMT) in Costa Navarino, Greece, with the result known within the hour.
