Israel’s Shin Bet chief slams Netanyahu’s firing attempt

Israel’s Shin Bet chief, Ronen Bar, stated that Prime Minister Netanyahu’s attempt to fire him was due to Bar’s refusal to spy on Israeli protesters and interfere in Netanyahu’s corruption trial. In an affidavit to the Supreme Court, Bar argued that the dismissal was motivated by personal loyalty expectations rather than professional reasons.
