Ivory Coast opposition protests disappoint following exclusion of candidate Tidjane Thiam

Only a few hundred protesters turned up to a rally for the Ivory Coast’s main opposition party on Thursday after its candidate, Tidjane Thiam, was banned from standing in the October 25 presidential elections, casting doubts over the future of the country’s leadership.
