Middle East tensions rise as ceasefire deal faces challenges
The situation in the Middle East continues to evolve. Both Israel and Hamas are renegotiating the ceasefire deal. Hamas announced on Monday that it was suspending the next hostage release, scheduled for Saturday. The Israeli Prime Minister responded by threatening to break the ceasefire and resume the war. Since the ceasefire deal, 21 hostages have been released by Hamas in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners.
