Netanyahu’s call for Iranian resistance ‘did not resonate’ on the ground

Hours after Israel launched unprecedented attacks on Iran on Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued an appeal to Iranians to stand up to the ruling regime that “oppresses and impoverishes” them. His message “did not resonate” on the ground, says FRANCE 24’s correspondent in Tehran, Saeed Azimi. “Netanyahu in the eyes of the Iranians is a criminal right now that has attacked the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of their country.”
