Russia and Ukraine hold rare direct talks in Belarus about prisoner of war

Russia and Ukraine’s most senior rights officials said Friday they had met in Belarus, a country closely allied to Moscow, to discuss prisoners of war. It was a rare face-to-face meeting between the two – Russia’s Tatyana Moskalkova and Ukraine’s Dmytro Lubinets had last met in Turkey in early 2023.
