Russian drone attacks kills four in Kyiv
Ukraine’s air force says it intercepted 406 drones and missiles overnight as Moscow launched a widespread barrage of attacks across the country. In Kyiv, multiple explosions rocked the capital early Friday, killing at least four people and injuring 20 others. Authorities reported damage across several districts, with search and rescue teams deployed at multiple sites. Strikes also hit western regions including Lviv and Volyn, near the border with NATO and EU member Poland, marking a significant geographic escalation. The assault comes just days after Russian President Vladimir Putin warned former U.S. President Donald Trump of planned retaliation following a Ukrainian drone strike that damaged nuclear-capable aircraft at Russian air bases. Shirli Sitbon reports.
