Territorial rivalries in Northern Syria spark clashes
While the majority of central and southern Syria seems calm after the ouster of Bashar al-Assad, a series of territorial rivalries in the north has erupted into open combat. Most of the clashes involve Kurdish groups under the name of the Syrian Democratic Forces and Turkish-backed factions. Residents now living in fear since the latest clashes broke out.
