“The maximum sentence of 20 years for aggravated rape has been demanded by public prosecutors for Dominique Pelicot, Gisèle Pelicot’s former husband”  said FRANCE 24 journalist Selina Sykes. As for the other 50 men who stand trial beside him, they face a range of between four to 18 years for either aggravated rape or sexual assault, reported Sykes.
