Trick or treat: Discovering Halloween’s Irish roots

Pumpkins, sweets and lanterns are familiar features of a well-loved tradition known around the world: Halloween. But did you know that according to many historians, the Halloween holiday may have its roots in an Irish pagan festival called Samhain?
