US military aircraft flies over politically sensitive Taiwan Strait

A US Navy patrol aircraft flew over the Taiwan Strait separating Taiwan from China on Tuesday “in international airspace”, the US 7th Fleet said in a statement, adding that it demonstrated the United States’ “commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific”.
