Venezuela: ‘The largest part of the opposition is sitting out this election’
Venezuelans head to the polls in parliamentary and gubernatorial elections Sunday (May 25), months after President Nicolas Maduro claimed a third term in an election marred by violence and fraud allegations. The issue of voter participation is the big unknown as the main opposition has urged citizens not to legitimise what they see as yet another sham vote.
