Workers worldwide rally for rights and social justice on May Day

Activists around the globe kick off May Day demonstrations on Thursday, pushing for better rights for workers and more social justice as they mark International Labour Day. In France, the main protest march kicked off in Paris with the CGT trade union, which is hosting some 260 rallies throughout the country, saying it was hoping for a “festive and combative” day.
